Comfy but loose.
Ordered the small as I am size 7.5. Love them but prefer a tighter fit on the foot to keep my feet warm!

Quite a variance in the size of these socks. Four pairs of Extra Large socks varied in length and width by 1/2 to 1". Lack of consistency! Upon returning, was not credited for all that I returned. What a hassle!
