
S'MORES (at least) FOUR WAYS

WHAT IS A S’MORE?
It's a graham cracker, marshmallow & chocolate sandwich. Melted! Oooooh, so good!
MAKE S’MORES IN THE OVEN
- Preheat your oven to broil.
- On a sheet pan or sheet of foil, put just the bottom graham cracker
- Top with a thin square of chocolate
- Marshmallow on top
- Place on a rack 5-6 inches below the top of the oven
- Keep an eye on things--broil until they are desired golden-ness
- Remove from the oven and immediately cover with the top graham cracker
- Eat as soon as sufficiently cooled
MAKE S’MORES IN THE MICROWAVE
- Put the bottom graham cracker half on a plate, then the square of chocolate, followed by the marshmallow
- Microwave for 15 seconds
- Top with the other graham cracker half and enjoy the oozy goodness
MAKE S’MORES ON THE STOVE
- Have ready the bottom graham cracker half and the square of chocolate
- Turn on your gas stove to high, skewer the marshmallow and toast it over the flame until it is golden brown and a bit scorched in places
- Use the top graham cracker "lid" to press the marshmallow onto the chocolate, removing the skewer
MAKE S’MORES ON THE GRILL
- Place the bottom graham cracker and chocolate on a plate or piece of foil
- Light the BBQ and turn to high
- Use a skewer to toast the marshmallow to your satisfaction
- Using the second graham cracker square, put the marshmallow over the chocolate, pressing with the top graham cracker to remove the skewer
- Alternatively, put the pre-built S'mores on a sheet of foil on the grill, close the lid and wait a few minutes for everything to warm and melt
VARIATIONS
- Use Oreos instead of graham crackers and make S’moreos
- Put a small spoonful of peanut butter under the chocolate for chocolate peanut butter S’mores.
- Swap out the chocolate for a spoonful of Nutella
- Put a slice of banana under the chocolate
- Use a blow torch! Fun!
