These are the coziest socks. Not just my feet but all the way up and over my knees. I accidently found these online and ordered a pair. I have since bought many more and a lot more as gifts. Everyone raves about these socks. I wear them during the day and in bed. They are amazingly soft and they stay up. I'm impressed by the quality and longevity of these products. I intend to continue buying these socks for gifts and for me.
I ordered the exact same sock a few years back and wore them til they couldn’t be worn any more so I bought a replacement pair. So much for “wide calf” — I can barely pull them up. If this was some ploy to save some money on the company’s part, it’s sad. I’m bummed. These USED to be my favorite socks.
In winter, my at-home retired teacher garb is often a robe and shawl. Last year I discovered Polar Feet's toasty fleece booties, which blessedly solved my battle with cold floors. Yet, calves stayed chilly, especially when sitting for awhile. I ordered a pair of these over-the-knee fleece socks and - wow - calves now SO WARM and comfy. The long socks stay up while walking about the house. Lovely to sleep in, too, when temps drop low. Soft, quality fleece, beautifully sewn. Love my lumberjack print!
I have wide feet, “cankles”—calf-ankles—and no arches. Not blessed with great legs and feet, LOL. I bought a size larger, to compensate. The polar feet were made for people with slim feet and legs/ankles. Went into the garbage.
These socks are great! Cold legs and feet are unbearable in the winter because of my neuropathy. Have already used them because of our unusually cold and wet spring in S.W. Michigan. I got the large wide and my calves are 13 1/2" at widest and knees are 15" so not sure if sizing is accurate, but are perfect for me.
